I saw my friend at the Canada Day Parade and asked to take photos of her new look. I told her the photos could show up on my blog and she said, “Make me famous!” I’d snapped a few photos and then said, “It’s great to see you personalizing yourself for the Canada Day weekend celebrations!”
An approaching marching band played in the background and I heard her words flow mellifluous, like a song rehearsed. She laughed, a hearty laugh and said, “This year I am the Canada Day Sundae with a cherry on top!”
