Another nomination

My journey as a blogger started not so long ago. I opened an account on WordPress and began to write a series of stories of my life. They weren’t always great storied but I did begin to feel a sense of satisfaction to be able to tell my stories.

I tagged a number of the posts to my Facebook account for friends to read. One friend in particular, Rita encouraged me to keep writing. I’m not in her league, she has written a book that the publisher has asked her to trim down!

I kept posting and decided some of my posts had to come down, at least for a while. It didn’t feel right to post so much negativity when I work so hard to be as positive as possible.

I also love to read and started to spend more time with Reader. It was fascinating to read stories, tales and poetry of other writers. They inspired me to write all the more.

Then I saw the Daily Post offered challenges. Always feeling up to a challenge I wrote my first blog using their Daily Prompts. I decided I would try to write a blog first thing every morning using their choice of word as my inspiration.

That is my advice to everyone, like me, new to blogging. Accept these challenges. Give yourself credit for your ability, I am certain you have talent as I have read your blogs!

Do not limit yourself to only these challenges. Write on!
